Sustainable Sawbridgeworth aims to promote improvements to the environment and sustainable living practices. In line with this, the group has a thermal imaging camera (TIC) which is available for residents to borrow for free from Sawbridgeworth library.
The thermal imaging camera is the size of a mobile phone and easy to use.
This thermal imaging camera can help you to:
understand and identify areas of heat loss
cut carbon emissions
cut bills
increase comfort
The thermal imaging camera measures surface temperatures to show the thermal effects of deeper structures, insulation, damp and other issues. Borrowers of the camera so far have identified airbricks that are losing heat, windows and doors that allow drafts and gaps in insulation in ceilings and walls. This has enabled them to tackle these issues, save money and help the environment.
